Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2017 has announced the seat allotment result of round 1 on June 28 for around 36,268 seats offered by NITs, IITs, IIITs, GFTIs. Along with the seat allotment result, opening and closing rank for round 1 have been also released.

All the JEE Main 2017 and JEE Advanced 2017 qualified candidates were able to register and fill their most desired colleges and courses from June 15 to 26. JoSAA 2017 made two mock seat allotment rounds for the benefit of the candidates to select the most appropriate colleges and courses based on the choices filled by them within the given time period.

Candidates who successfully completed the JoSAA registration and choice filling process, can check their JoSAA 2017 Round I Seat Allotment result in the candidate login window. JoSAA has also released Round 1 vacancy of seats and opening and closing ranks.

All the candidates have to accept their seats by reporting at the reporting centre round 1on June 29 to July 3, 2017. To confirm a seat, candidates will have to visit their respective reporting centres for document verification and pay the seat acceptance fee. For general categories – Rs. 45,000 and SC, ST, Gen PWD, SC PWD, ST PWD and OBC-NCL PWD categories – Rs 20, 000. Fee payment can be made using SBI/Net banking or e-challan. The seats of the candidates will be allotted only after verification of documents. Candidates who reject the allotted seats are not eligible for further rounds. Seat acceptance fee will be refunded to those candidates who will not appear in the JoSAA 2017 Counselling.

Candidates must note that the authority will allocate seats to the candidates as per the JoSAA 2017 seat matrix provided by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA 2017).

Candidates can use the float/slide until the sixth round JoSAA 2017 seat allotment by visiting at the reporting centre if they are not satisfied with their seats or allotted course.

There are seven rounds of JoSAA 2017 Seat Allotment for offering admissions to around 513 courses in a total of 93 institutes under JoSAA. The seat allocation authority has already announced the seat matrix, mock seat allotment result and other JoSAA 2017 counselling details including procedure and schedule.
